The Virtual Smithsonian is a Shockwave-based Web site that provides a more in-depth look at some of the artifacts than museum labels typically provide, and connects popular objects and ideas that is difficult to do in a museum setting. My involvement with this site was part of an initial internship with the Smithsonian Institution.
